However 2 of them lay a good sized egg - almost silkie sized - bless them. They are beautiful eggs & yes a lot of yolk. I'm still waiting for the 4 newish lavenders & the 2 Millefleurs to come into lay, any time now. I'm still pondering over what breed trio / quartet of bantams to have? That's right, the yolks aren't quite as huge as with a hybrid's egg, but there is less white in comparison, which suits me as I prefer to eat yolk. I wouldn't say that they are any less/more friendly. As with any animal it depends on the individual bird and how much you handle them. The Dogmother Posted September 26, 2010 Share Posted September 26, 2010 Polish are lovely, but mad as a bag of frogs, not helped by the fact that they have trouble seeing where they are going! I had a polish x araucana who was a lovely girl, total nutter and not too keen on being held. They can have problems with lice in their 'hair' though, so do need plenty of care in that area, plus regular checks on their ears and eyes.
