Chickvic
We are down to our last 2 girls and we would like 2 more for eggs. We were looking at Merrydale Poultry but they have now decided to stop selling hens, does anyone know of anywhere local with different breeds? I don't mind hybrids or pure breeds but I don't think I can afford Wernlas prices just yet! Thanks in advance for any help/suggestions I didn't know where to post this so I thought in the Nesting Box would get more replies - please move if it is in the wrong place Edited September 26, 2010 by Guest
Ain't Nobody Here
I'll pop it into "Chickens". I'm sure you'll get just as many views (and hopefully responses!) there .
Chickvic
Thank you - I wasn't sure where was best.
Mollie333
Cotswold Chickens do some nice birds! I think thats in Branbury, they do Hybrids and table birds. I now get all my girls from Pages Poultry she has really stunning pure breeds and hybrids! Its near to Burton on Trent, so quite a far way out i'd imagine? But worth it if you are willing to travel. I hope i helped. x
Chickvic
Thanks for that - I think we're going to look at Cotswold Chickens first.

Patricia W
If you want a wide choice, then take a day out to Wyle Valley Chickens. It's near Stonehenge. http://wylevalleychickens.co.uk. Superb quality and friendly service. Tricia
jess1merlin
Is Newland Poultry too far from you. It is not far from Worcester and easy to get to from junction 7 of the M5. It is a really nice place and they have both hybrids and pure breeds. Have a look at the web site www.newlandgrange.com or give them a ring and see what they have at the moment. Thalia
My first two came from Cotswold Chickens and I have been very happy with them. The lady there has a good selection of hybrids and is very helpful.
WitchHazel
Sharon Gould at Pinvin Poultry is fantastic. She has all sorts of pure breeds plus hybrids. She's very friendly and helpful, and her birds are lovely. I bought some of my first girls from her http://www.gouldlifepoultryltd.co.uk/
