Griffin
We've had a photo session I wanted to get individual photos of each of them, wrote a list of whos who yet still managed to forget one Will try again with that one later They're growing so quickly, eating me out of house and home and are MESSY! The kids have named all of them and thankfully they are all very different so it's easy to see who they all are. They were all clean for approximately 35 seconds this morning: Cameron, gold Silkie: The egg labelled blue has turned out to be black but most annoying of all, it's a Silkie with a single comb Named by Daisy, it's now known as Trudy Georgia insisted on calling the white Silkie Lilly even though our big white Silkie is called Tiger Lily Jim, who I think is turning frizzley Ming Ming who is already growing a comb Theresa, lavender Pekin: Sheila, another with frizzliness going on: Mr Pointy: Dairy: Ginger: Honey: Lola: Bugs Bunny: Sleepy Honey: Lilly looking cute:

Valkyrie
Awwwwwwwwww look how big those wing feathers are already! Really pretty little things. Which was the grumpy one? Bugs Bunny, Jim or Ming Ming? I think Cameron looks adorable.
Griffin
The angry one is Ming Ming. I think he's named after a kids tv character. They've all moved out to the big brooder in the garage today. It's been lovely and warm all day so I took the opportunity to move them. The run is 4ft by 3ft so they look like little dots in it I have to say Cameron is my favourite. It was a sad day, I culled all of my boy growers, and cuddles with Cameron were a real tonic. Fingers crossed it's a girl so doesn't have to suffer the same fate. All the cuddly ones seem to turn into boys though. It's so unfair. Valkyrie
Yep the down side to hatching. Fingers crossed Cameron is a girl. Reminds me of Lewis's Orville in that pose.

Griffin
They're two weeks old now and already it's clear there is rather a few boys Most surprisingly of all, the one who looked exactly like a Cream Legbar girl is very definitely a boy with a massive red comb and wattles already! All the Pekins bar one seem to look quite girly which is good news, even for the boy because they're all off to live with my friend Tony and he in particular wants a boy to form part of a breeding group for next year. It looks as if he'll have a mottled black boy to look forward to. He really really really wants the frizzle porcelain one to be a boy but I doubt it is. I absoloutly love sitting in the garage spending time with them all, it's so cosy in there and peaceful. Sometimes I think I'd prefer to live with them! I've been taking photos of them this morning. Amazing how different their personalities are. All the mongrels are rowdy, boisterous and didn't want to keep still to have their photos taken. The Pekins & Silkies on the otherhand are delightful little people who'll sit for hours! Bugs Bunny, boy: Lola, girl I think: Dairy, boy: Ginger, unsure, more boy than girl: Honey, boy: Mr Pointy, unsure: Cameron, still the sweetest chick on earth: Trudy: Lilly: Theresa: Sheila: Mottled boy whos name escapes me: Ming Ming: Jim:
Valkyrie
Oh wow look at them now - and those frizzly bits. Cameron knows how to strike a pose eh? But my goodness, Sheila takes some beating with those huge feathers! She should be called Josephine Baker!
Daphne
I've never seen a chook with glasses on (Dairy) Mr P is growing a bit of a comb isn't she
craftyhunnypie
aww so cute. Your black mottled boy hasn't half got a comb! I've got a black mottled frizzle, a beige stripeyplain feathered (which may be partridge coloured) & a lemony/white frizzle. Pekins are just so very sweet aren't they. Cameron is a beautiful chick Griffin! At the moment there are no signs of combs on mine. Emma.x
