Tiggy
Tonight on Central News there is an interview with my cousins daughter, Rosie is now 18 & had a brain tumour since she was tiny, it has been removed 3 times but keeps growing back, her Drs think her last chance would be to use a newish cancer drug that is licensed for her particular tumour but cannot be funded by the NHS because its too expensive. They have set up the 'Rosie Farrell Hospital Fund' and need to raise £30,000! Edited October 12, 2010 by Guest

Tiggy
Good news after a lot of media pressure including a letter to Downing Street the NHS has agreed to fund some of Rosies treatment. We still need to raise more but not sure how much just yet. It does mean that she can start her drug treatment asap. The poor girl is in a lot of pain as the tumour is growing rapidly & pressing on her brain, the avastin should start to shrink it & keep her comfortable. Rosie's prognosis is not good but the drug will give her more time & make what is left of her life less painful. I wish she could have started her treatment earlier. There was a very non commital reply from Downing Street but the respose from the trust came very swiftly afterwards. But no matter how this reversal came about Im very happy that at last Rosie may get some relief. So to all of the unknown contributors to Rosies' cause out there my family send you our heart felt thanks X Anne for futher updates, please pm or click on link
Chucky Mama
Update from Tiggy very good news for Rosie, the Trust have now decided that Rosie can have her treatment for free on the NHS, we are not sure what changed their minds but this will give her a chance of surviving painfree for an indefiniate time. Rosie has asked me to pass on her thanks to anyone who supported her and the money donated is going to another girl who is also awaiting a decision and so far has been denied her treatment too I have removed the link from my signature because the account has been closed
