CatieB
Much to my DH dismay, I decided I wanted a silver kitten for my 40th. (we already have three rescue cats, 3 chickens and a dog). Unfortunately for DH it seems the true silver kittens are pedigree. I have spent a long time thinking about it (honest) including the stupidity of having another pet and the money involved but at lunchtime today I am bringing her home! As you will see from my signature my son named our rescue cats but I feel she should have something more regal. Seeing that DH moans about the time I spend on here (as well as the fact I want a new kitten) I thought you could help me Any suggestions please. So far the short list is Inca, Lexi, Zanthi, Alysia - if this works you should be able to see her, she is the darker tabby one. http://www.adtrader.co.uk/pets-and-animals/kittens/silver-spooted-and-silver-tabby-british-short-hair_398315_cpn.html
Olly
awww, she looks gorgeous! What a lovely present. I like all the names above, but if you're going for something regal what about Ayesha, Cleopatra, Sheba, or something like that? How are your three other cats going to take to her, I wonder! CatieB
I know we will be doing introductions very slowly and at her own pace. I've been told (although no idea if its true) that as fifi and bonkers are still young, they are about a year, that they will soon adapt to her as they will want to play and forget that shes new. Whereas Thomas is the opposite he is old and the boss and will no doubt show that very quickly. He hissed and spat at the other two for quite a time but there was never any fighting. Fingers crossed and thanks

Chucky Mama
I would go the opposite way and call her something like Ethel or Betty- but then I am strange
WarrensWorld
How about Lavinia, Lav for short......
bigmommasally
She is gorgeous. I like Lexi, she could be Alexandria shortened to Lexi, or Cleopatra shortened to Cleo. I would go the opposite way and call her something like Ethel or Betty- but then I am strange - I agree Chucky Mama .....you are strange
Rhapsody
As she is silver how about a Moon Godess name they are beautiful- Selene Ishtar Juno Zirna Luna Isis Artemis Ostara
Janepie33
Oh yes, definitely a moon name LUNA is my choice - but only because we have a ginger girl called Luna. She is completely bonkers and spends hours staring at the wall as if she is seeing visions!
CatieB
OMG what beautiful names. Now I'm stuck and it doesn't help I'm indecisive. When we got her I decided on Inca as we found out it is her mothers name. It seemed fated because it was one of my choices. However on the way home I thought Inca doesnt suit her, she is more of a Lexi. Now I've checked this board and I love both Isis and Luna although the first thing DS son said was Luna jim so maybe not ideal! I have to say she is far cuter than the photo apperently they were taken ages ago and she is much more beautiful now I have been advised to leave her alone in a room to settle but she is calling madly (not sadly) and seems desperate to explore even though I was told she'd take time to settle and should be left in there for a couple of days with all contact in that room. Luna Lexi Isis Inca.............. ummmmmmm

CatieB
Thank you everyone for the help. I really am thinking about doing something about my indecision Anyway after the lovely names I decided on Isis. Then we spent two days debating how it should be pronounced, eye-sis, ice-is, ee-sis or is-is. Finally DH said it really isn't rolling off the tongue so she has reverted to Inca as we had to give a name to the vet. Now Inca Tinker tutu seems to be sticking - not the regal name planned at all. goodinparts
Oh sooo beautiful. Feeling very envious - I hate being a one cat household and must remedy this as soon as possible... Selene? or indeed Selina? Xanthe? Jocasta? Artemis?...Whatever you call her, she'll surely be a delight
