Just to give you a little background - I was contacted on the Tuesday night to see If I was interested in taking part in the programme. Of course I said yes I never thought it would happen anyway - well the following Wednesday they arrived for filming.

I had no idea what they were wanting for the programme - otherwise I may have been a little more prepared !

Basically it is to encourage people to keep Poultry as pets, and why you would keep them. They filmed me for 4 hours and we covered lots of areas of poultry keeping although they have since said they have struggled to keep my interview in and have had to edit it down to a minimum so I am only praying what they put out there is an accurate edit!

Ok - like a lamb to the slaughter I will press return and you will all know what is happening......... :-[ :-[

Be Kind

Well done Bev, you looked great. I was surprised to see Derek Knottenbelt (vet who treated horse with sarcoids). I worked with him for a while. Also surprised to see him using 'sarcoid chemotherapy' which used to be called 'wart cream'- and was made by an elderly veterinary practitioner I used to work with. Evil stuff but works like magic, eats through everything it it's sight. I used it on my old pony...eh those were the days  On the whole though it is typical Channel 4 stuff

Yes, you were definitely the best part of the programme, which otherwise was rather revolting, and necessitated a certain amount of hiding behind a newspaper.

The sablepoot bantams were gorgeous, if I was going to get more chickens they would definitely be that breed!

Well done!

Bev, are you Brian's daughter in law?

Brian is my mum's art teacher and he told her to tell me to keep an eye out for you on the telly! I've recorded it so not watched it yet but, is it you, are you her, so to speak? :D

Thankyou ladies and Gentlemen, I will take a bow!!!

I cannot believe how much filming we did - all about rare breeds the importance of preserving genetics etc etc etc all the different breeds available!

But I have to say I am completely and utterly thrilled - My little birds came across so cute and I thought it was great that they were filmed so much - better than me being on camera without a doubt!

The Rudds are the family that had the birds from me... I thought the children looked so happy with them and I know the sablepoots are great fun for them... thats why I chose that breed.

So overall I was really chuffed ! :P

...or you might be the lady that sold the poultry to the lady in question? I'll have to watch the prog....the surname of the family was Rudd.

Just had to add......

'SOLD' - are you having a laugh?

Donated!!!!

But completely and utterly worth it if it encourages more people to keep poultry.

I haven't watched it yet :) if it was the rudds then that's the son and daughter in law of mum's art teacher! Small world! I've given him eggs in the past, he can get eggs from his own family now! LOL

Hi I saw Animal Madhouse as well and well done for being on the show. I have claim to fame on the show too and this is why. My daughter runs a business that features exotic animals and you know the clips that showed the millipede, black and white Tegu (lizard) Royal Python and Racoon Dog? Well they were hers!

Thanks All
