What makes a chicken coop easy to live with?

I don't know much about computers but sometimes when I sign in on here and don't necessarily do much or get sidetracked elsewhere something logs me off.

Is there like some sort of timer that logs people off if they don't look for a bit of time?

When you sign in do you tick "log on automatically at each visit"? Perhaps that would stop it.

Not that I'm aware of. I don't ever get logged off unless I run a PC cleaner programme.

I use the 'log on automatically at each visit' but just lately since the maintainace work last week I keep getting loged out when I switch out of one oe two sections

The same thing happens to me and has been for a few weeks. No idea why, it just means signing in again

A lot of forums have an auto-logout system, which logs you out after a period of inactivity - this is to protect your account so that no-one else can use it if you inadvertently leave it open on your computer. I can't see why it should happen between forum sections though.

Clear your cookies (they are what keep you logged in) and log in again. You might have a bad cookie.

Seriously though thankyou all. I do log on automatically and strangely tonight, as I left the pc on omlet and ate my tea etc I find I am still here. Then I remembered that we have been having problems with our phone - which got fixed yesterday - and maybe it was the internet that was the problem and would explain why I haven't been knocked off already.
