squiffs Posted June 29, 2011 Share Posted June 29, 2011 turns out some houses down here got struck by lightning yesterday and the fire and ambulance crews were being called out all over the place Sunny today - really warm this morning with no breeze, but a chilly breeze has come in - still very sunny though. beach chick Posted July 7, 2011 Share Posted July 7, 2011 blazing hot sunshine here today BUT really high winds - to the point that you cant actually walk in them! the chooks are confused - everytime they roll around in the dirt it blows away! got to take the dog out soon, but the beach is unbearable when it's like this - the sand blows at ankle height and fills your shoes... squiffs Posted July 8, 2011 Share Posted July 8, 2011 Bucketed it down this morning, I walk to work from Brighton station, across the city centre up to the race hill and I got drenched. Now it's glorious sunshine. I made a pen for my chooks yesterday after work - using plastic poly posts and goose/peacock netting, and I'm going to sit in the garden with gin and tonic this evening and intend to go to bed way after my usual bedtime, but find myself getting tired at about 9:30 anyway and being in bed by 11 - very risqué! providing it doesn't rain Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
