Things havn't been going so well for the past 24 hours

Last night I was driving to the shop to get milk and I started to notice a smoky smell, a bit like Cadbury Crunchie bars melting in the engine. Eventually the smell got very bad so I stopped and got out to find the windscreen wipers moter broken and smoking, i tried to turn them on but they wouldn't work.

Then went home and turned on the tap to fill the kettle but the taps wouldn't work went outside to find the pipes frozen .

Then went to have a shower and aftrwards I turned of the shower, but the water kept running it was still running after 5 minutes so I turned off the water mains altogether.

Rang the shower company this morning to see if I still had a warranty on it, only to find it had expired 2 months ago

Then rang a plumber to ask if he could fix it but he said he wouldn't be able to come out until thursday or friday

Then rang my cousin (who's a mechanic)about the windscreen wipers only to find that his whole family were out with a stomach bug and that the roads were like glass

Then went to the local car dealer to ask if he could fix the car, and said he wold have to keep it for a few days

 

Still...it could be worse

I always say that if it wasn't for bad luck I wouldn't have any! I hope that things improve for you.

Even if you have a big "to do" list, I'm going to suggest you leave off any DIY for a few weeks, and personally I wouldn't get on an aircraft for a while either. Bungee jumping's probably out too.

My luck is beginning to turn slightly,

 

I picked up my car today, they got the motor working again for the windscreen wipers

 

After bying a few heaters, I have no frozen pipes.

 

Plumber hopefully coming tommorrow

Even if you have a big "to do" list, I'm going to suggest you leave off any DIY for a few weeks, and personally I wouldn't get on an aircraft for a while either. Bungee jumping's probably out too.
