Guest
I noticed this morning that one of my girls (hybrid) is a bit sneezy this morning, she has a very slight clear mucous runny nose. She isn't dull and is eating/drinking ok. I sounded her chest this morning and her breathing is normal..not raspy or rapid. I can get Baytril from work tonight for her, does anyone know what dose and for how long? The vet that checked them is abroad now and none of the others know. Any advice? Thanks xx
Egghead68
People may not want to respond for legal reasons as Baytril is not licensed for poultry etc. BUT if you google it I believe the information is available on the internet. The vet that checked them is abroad now and none of the others know. If you are getting Baytril 'from work', I assume that you work in a veterinary practise. If so one of your vets should be able to work out the dose. It is the responsibility of the dispensing vet to work out the dose and carry any responsibility associated with the medication. When using any medication 'off license' your vets are legally required to fill out and keep a prescription detailing the dose and reasons for using it. Guest
Its ok - we managed to get hold of a poultry expert and are now using a licensed drug (name escapes me right this second..but starts with a 'T') - i've ordered it tonight and it should arrive tomorrow. Guest
I've ordered some Citricidal and am collecting it at lunchtime. Is it just a few drops in their drinking water?
Egluntyne
It is. As it is so bitter, they won't drink the water if you add too much. **Click**
Guest
Babs is on her a/biotics, she gets them orally once daily and takes them no problem, the deal is, she takes the a/biotics and she gets her scrambled eggs (she'd sell her soul for scramblies!!) - her sneezing is all but gone and her 'snorty' nose sound is much less.
