Is that World of Wool Diane? - I order from them........lovely stuff!

Yes, I'm less than 10 minutes from them, they are in the vallley bottom. You and Carl will have to head up this way some time and you could visit them.....even better to visit as they just give you a giant clear bag and you go and help yourself to whatever you want in handfuls (they are all just in boxes!) then they weigh it and you pay! I love it as not forced to buy larger quantities of colours you don't use that much!!

If anyone is interested in small amounts of fibres then Torbay Textiles are good - I used them to test small amounts for colour. I also use an Ebay seller - itsavintagething, aka Sara's Texture Craft or something like that, very good stock, some felting kits and fast delivery.

Hi

Ive been invited to come along and will be attending on sunday. I would really like it if someone could help me to remember how to crochet-i did many years ago-maybe when I was about 12 and did some quite fancy stitching but I have no idea how. I will try to get a pattern together for the crochet and bring a hook and some yarn and if anyone would be willing to give me a little tutorial I would be very grateful! I quite fancy trying to do some corsage type flowery things and now Ive seen some of the beautiful felting I may just watch that!

Hiya,

I have confirmed:

You, me,

Fluffyfeet (staying at hotel up road Fri and Sat nights)

Mostin

Egluntyne

Laurmurf (not sure if Ellie is coming)

Derise (my friend)

All of the above will be around Saturday night (so 7 or 8 at least)

Then

j00lz_12366 is coming on the Sunday on the train (I'm going to bob out and pick her up from the station)

I'm not aware of any other definite attendees.

Pizzas would be fab, I'd thought about them.

Ideas for others:

Crisps and nibbles always good

Cake and biccies?

Vino?

I've just finished getting all my craft stuff out of the loft - and now can't see the living room floor

OH keeps walking through muttering

I shall have a good sort out now to decide what to bring next weekend (and remind myself what I've actually got!)

I think this is the catalyst I needed to get crafty again Diane. Really looking forward to seeing everyone there and having a much needed break from home.

Dawn x

PS - I'll bring my camping chair too.

Me me me  Dont forget me!!! And OH. I havent' been here for a while, but I had asked we could come along on the Sunday and bring our friend as well.

OH is going to bring her guinness cake (its chocolatey and very yummy).

I would love to learn felting please and am planning on bringing a bag of brown alpaca fleece. There should be enough for other people to use too.

I can do basic knitting and crocheting and am happy to help show anybody that (but I'm sure there will be much more talented people ther than me!)

I can bring my spinning wheel if anybody fancies having a go at spinning.

Really looking forward to it. :D

Ooooh sorry Hen, had forgotten you

Fabulous, sounds great, especially the cake bit! I have a spinning wheel which I'd like you to look at to check it's set up right as I've never been very good on it! I think people would love to try spinning so if anybody shows an interest, bring yours too as mine may not be right!

Don't panic Met Check keep changing their minds, the forecast for Ipswich keeps switching between snow, rain and sunshine!

Ooh yes, you're right, since I looked last night they are now showing Saturday as being 11 deg C and no rain or snow, so we may get to sit out (hope so as have ordered a fancy picnic table type thingy and it's coming tomorrow!!!)
