Has anyone ever thought of taking their chicks out for a walk, mine follow me everywhere and I am often temped to walk round to my sisters to see if they would come with me, don't think they would be too happy on a lead though and I'm sure they would flap off at the first opportunity !

It would be just brilliant if you could take them out places :lol:

I've also thought about that :lol:

I had a lead for my rabbit once and walked it to the school! It was the only time we used it though, it refused to walk after a while :roll:

I wouldn't want to walk around with a chicken though, might find a nasty dog :?

:lol::lol::lol:

I used to have a Turkey hen named 'Cheryl', she would follow me up and down my quiet road, and then made habits and would go up there to see the neighbours. :lol:

I wouldn't trust the chickens though, as they could wonder off, 25lb turkeys are a lot more visible than chickens, and they could walk into the road or get attacked by a dog/cat passing by. :?

:D

I love getting my chickens to follow me up the path. The can't half run :lol: But I'd be too worried that a dog would come by if I tried this outside my garden.

I once took my two ex-racing greyhounds for their normal walk in the park and saw what I thought was a small dog on a lead with a couple of teenagers. My greyhounds are just fine with small dogs as they can easily smell the difference between dog and bunny . . . but YAH to my horror I realised it was not a small dog but a rabbit. I just got them on the lead in time. :anxious:
