Chicken shack
After alot of thought and reading I have decided to get two more POL girls Heritage Skylines. I collect them after work on Thursday. I did want to rehome some ex-batts but not having a spare or for them to recover from their ordeal I felt it would not be fair on them. I am hoping that one day I meet a chicken mad person that lives local to me that has a spare or I will be up to 5 girls in a with a 4 mtre run and free ranging. They should be

docsquid
It's a slippery slope The number of chickens that you need (n) always seems to be slightly higher than the number you already have
Chortle Chook
Exciting! Spring must be in the air with all this Morehens disease around. It's amazing how two chickens can become 4, then 6, then 8 without an egg so much as hatching.

They should be Went and got my two new yesterday. Got them from Hens4Homes Dunmow. I went after work and was hoping to get there before it got too dark. Went to get sat nav from boot and had bought my camera instead . With no time to go home and get it I thought how difficult could it be to find. Got as far as Dunmow and couldn't make head nor tail of the directions. Went in a pub and was given drawn directions that took me so far then a saw a man clearing a ditch and he had a sat nav on his phone and I was only 2 mins away. I got there at 4.30pm just as it was getting dark. The girl had selected a few for me to choose from because it was getting dark. Has anyone been there She has a piece of land with horses and chickens. Her own chickens were roosting in the trees. It was so nice to see them acting like birds should be. They were quite high and I don't think even Mr Fox could get to them. After reading all the advice on intoductions on here she told me to just putt them in with the others as soon as I got them home so after getting lost in the dark lanes and eventually finding my way home I did as she said. I had a restless night and was up by 6.30am to open their bedroom door and all seams ok however the two newbies are at the back of the cube run with the 3 original garding the food and water so I am going to put more food and water in there. I will take some picures when things have settled and I have named them.
