So glad the hen is safe.

The wind picked up here yet again today and I've noticed that instead of pecking around with quite a bit of space between them, the girls are gathering up close. They did create a racket earlier on - seems the garden swing blew over (again - that's 3 times so far, although in the opposite direction this time), so I guess that frightened them. Much stronger today because it even blew their food dishes down the path. At least it's calmed down and is quite mild.

One of my Serama Hens took a flying jump and a gust of wind shot her over the roof this morning :( still no signs of her :( I have neighbours looking..

Not to sound thick, but...

 

...over the roof of your house?!?

 

 

Yup! my OH just thought it was a normal bird, and thought nothing of it. I wouldn't of thought for a second that they could go that high...
