Just browsing the Omlet shop and noticed the new netting they are doing. It seems to be some improvement on the old netting, taller, looks more robust, has a gate, extra spikes, but it doesn't seem to be electrifiable. It comes in strange lenghts 12, 21 and 42 m and is pricy. I was considering buying some now I can't decide. Has any one bought it (I have the old netting)?

Does the old netting have the smaller gaps at the bottom? - I thought that was one improvement 8)

Yes the old one has bantam sized netting at the bottom too, but I don't think the new can be electrified - what do you think?

Nope, can't be electrified 'cos no steel string through it...

Bit of a shame as would have been great to be taller and electrified but spose then the cost would have been even more expensive!

Do like the height + new poles, gate is clever too 8)

I'd get mine from Knowles nets tbh though - sorry Omlet!

What's the difference with the Knowles stuff, just no gate? Am in a bit of a quandry now. Was going to get another run extension for the Cube but now wonder if this would be better. My girls don't have their wings clipped (to give them a chance against Mr Fox), could they fly over the netting? Can a fox still get in? :?

Yes is the answer to both of those questions Ali, although the fox might be deterred if it's electrified. If you're going out and want to leave your girls safely, I'd recommend increasing the cube run and shutting them in that, then at least you know they are as near to 100% safe as they can be.

Ha, thought so! I do get a bit excited when I see new stuff. OH thinks I've lost my marbles over these chickens!
