Vodaphone down?

Recommended Posts

My signal is never very good....I wouldn't have noticed!

Ours used to be awful except for 1 windowsill, we got one of those booster things that they sell which is great but only for 3G phones - which I didn't realise until I bought it - guess what my phone wasn't  - have 3G now and signal is great.

I called Vodaphone a few weeks ago about my signal and they offered me that box. Once paid for, are there are other charges CM?

i would be intrestested to know about this as all phone signals where i live are terrible. vodafone is the best, but even that means i can just about send text messages at home if i am in the right place in the house.

Sorry for the late reply. No there are no further charges once you buy it. I think we got ours a bit cheaper than the quoted price somehow  can't remember how. It is the only way that I can get consistent signal in our house without hanging out of a window - 3G phones only though. Check out the spec in terms of where you fit it (a modem is involved I think - spot the person who didn't fit it  ). I would highly recommend it though. Never used a mobile for voice in our house but can now, my phone has all bars instead of the dreaded red SOS. - It's called Vodafone Sure Signal.

Edited to say: I think they confuse things a little by saying that you can pay for it outright or there is some garbled way of paying over a period of time which makes people think that there is some sort of ongoing charge.

Thanks CM.

They have offered it to me for £50 or £5 a month for a year.

When I called, she told me about it and I said I wasn't prepared to pay £50 for a box to guarantee a signal - that is what I pay line rental for! She asked how much I would be prepared to pay?? :wall::wall: The short answer? NOTHING!

They are trying to sort out my area and if it doesn't work out, then I either leave as they cannot fulfil their contract, or I get the box free. Really don't like Vodaphone and wish I hadn't left O2. Only have to wait until June 2012 for an upgrade.......will be changing back.

Vodaphone signal was down in our area a couple of weeks ago. One of my friends rang up about it and she was told that the engineers are aware of the problem and it could take days...it could take weeks before the problem is fixed. So don't know what was going on there. :?
