crazy kc
If it was a silkie it should have black skin. How many toes has it got?
Redwing
It doesn't look like one, silkies have dark skin and legs, topknots and five toes That could be a Brahma maybe?? What was it soldto you as?
Janepie33
Sorry about the GIANT picture. Trying to resize it in photobucket didn't work! Only 4 toes. Was trying to find out what it might be as I kidnapped it and 2 others from a local nursery. I have another one the same and a little black one which I have had to quarantine as my other babies (only 2 weeks older) keep trying to eat its toes (which are black). PS The nursery were happy for me to have them as they were going back to the farm they came from as eggs, some of which were blue.
fluffy chick
yeah it's not a silke, how many toes does the black skinned one have? Maybe that's a silky!
Janepie33
Just counted and that one has 4 too. Shame. I was getting all excited thinking I had a silkie!Suppose I'll just have to wait to see how they develop and hope they are all girls. Janepie33
Maybe a cochin or a pekin???
craftyhunnypie
I was thinking Pekin too. Maybe a partridge one. Keep us updated with photos. Emma.x
Chortle Chook
Perhaps she (or he ) is not a pure breed but a Pilkie (Pekin x Silkie). My friend says they are lovely chooks so be pleased if you have one of those
Jossy
It looks like my chicks... Could it be a sablepoot?
Janepie33
What a lovely little chick. Have never heard of a sablepoot. They look very similar. The two I have have blue rings around their eyes.

Redwing
Ah the gangly teenager phase I'm sticking with Brahma and guessing at cockerel It could just be a cross breed though
Janepie33
Really really hope it's not a boy. Think this one might be though!
Mollie333
Not a silkie. I'm going with Brahma cross.. Somehow looks a bit tall for a Pekin?
craftyhunnypie
Partridge Cochin boy is my guess. Looks just like my ' Boon' did at that age. He is a big big boy now. Emma.x
Janepie33
Nearly Grown up. Boy at the top. Girl at the bottom. Not really sure about the middle one. He / she definitely acts more like a girl than a boy!

Chortle Chook
Beautiful colours. Could they have Brahma and some Game element in them? (I suggest the game element as they seem to have such an upright stance )
