stoice
My OH has just text me to say he thought my Blanche was being noisy as usual but when he went out to check on the girls, they were quiet as a mouse. He said someone nearby must have chickens as they are quite loud and he could hear them. I've made him look out of all my upstairs windows to see if he can see them but he can't (Will look harder when i get back from work ) Apolagies to Blanche for blaming her this time So it seems the chicken keeping bug is spreading. And here's me worrying I've put off my neighbours when my girls announce an egg! Hello to the new girls near Bergholt in Colchester! **Waves vigorously** I hope their owner comes on to the forum. migsy
The exact thing happened to me too! I kept worrying that my chickens were being much noisier than usual until I realised that it was not them who were making the noise! I cannot see them because of trees and fences but my next door neighbour has confirmed that she has seen the other chicken neighbours. I'd love to know if they are on this forum too. I am in Didsbury. We could swop chicken sitting. Perhaps I should knock on their door.
Sam
Same thing happened to me!! But then we saw other people who live on my street who also have chickens and they said it was people who live down the road, she has ducks as well! Her garden is bordered by trees so I can't see them, trust me ive tried ha ha I think they had theirs long before us though.

chickanne
I live in a village of 60ish houses. There are 2 sets of people with proper flocks, 3 with small set ups (15ish) 3 Eglus containing two laydees each and a Cube with about 5. That's not including the couple two doors away who are down to their last hen and a male guinea fowl. (Their last duck and the female guineafowl were "foxed" recently.) Living near guinea fowl means I never have to worry about the racket my girls make Never short of chicken sitters...
