Life's so cruel...I grew up with her watching Dr Who...R.I.P. Elizabeth Sladen...

Isn't it great though that she had a second wind as Sarah-Jane Smith? Both in the recent Dr Who, and in her own series.

 

And didn't she look well? She didn't really seem to have aged very much at all. I know the Sarah Jane Adventures was a chidren's programme, but I liked it.

 

Such a shame.

My DD is often to be found curled up with her laptop watching reruns of the SarahJane Adventures....she told me of SarahJane's sad passing yesterday ......we didn't know her real name either, she's always been SarahJane to us

I met her about 3 years ago, and had a quick chat with her until her body guards pulled her away. Bodyguards in a sleepy market town in north suffolk.

As a huge Dr Who fan, I am truly gutted to hear that Sarah-Jane Smith has died

 

Telling Sarah-Jane about Sarah-Jane will be tricky!!!!

It is very sad news. When I told my YD, who loves Sarah Jane Adventures, she said aww, and then, that means there will be no more Sarah Jane Adventures! Then she was really sad. DS said the same. All my 3 love Sarah Jane Adventures. Apparently they have filmed half of the new series so I wonder what they will do to finish it, or continue it to the end of its run? I always knew her as Sarah Jane as well, but RIP Elizabeth Sladen

I wonder if Tommy Knight (Luke Smith) will carry on and make a new series of his own

What sad news. She was in a large chunk of my growing years, and it was so natural to have her back on Dr Who. She will be greatly missed!
