chooklady
Should I be worried one of my chickens hasn't got a 'voice' . She had a nasty cold in the spring and then she was sneezy and sounded croakey but now she has no voice at all, any suggestions as to what might be wrong and any remedies gratefully received. Many thanks Nicola
mollyripkim
Did she have a voice before her cold? I have a silkie who is now about a year old and she still just cheeps, just never seems to have grown up. Hope someone with more experience can help you. When I posted about my silkie the advice was to do a thorough health check but she is fine. chooklady
Yes she did she was very vocal, a couple of weeks back she only had a tiny raspy voice but now it has gone altogether but in every other way she is healthy, she's laying, eating, drinking and as bossy as ever! gongladosh
Might not be a problem. Our first boss hen hardly said anything ever. Could it be caused by her voice breaking? (and that does happen as they group up from being chicks)
chooklady
She's about 3 years old. I'm sure it stems from the cold she had.
Plum
Only guesses but could it be scar tissue or something like that
chooklady
Thanks for your comments and ideas. Seriously I'm not too worried about her because she certainly isn't suffering in any other way.
