scarlettohara
Didn't realise silkies were so hard to come by, have emailed Birdhaus but not heard back and nothing on Practical Poultry forum
Redwing
Try ChookieChook or Terri on P P Also Silkie Girl (I think thats right) The chap at Pear Tree Farm Poultry in Astcote Northamptonshire had a blue Silkie cockerel that I hatched last year to go with a female so worth checking with him too as he hatches a large amount of various bantam chicks each year and has probably bred from that pair

mollyripkim
I know a good breeder in Hampshire, probably too far. I do have a blue silkie but in all honesty I would call her grey! Not so exotic sounding though.

Chortle Chook
I know a good breeder in Hampshire, probably too far. I do have a blue silkie but in all honesty I would call her grey! Not so exotic sounding though. I got my little white Silkie, Doodle, from a breeder in Hampshire. I can't remember their name but they also sold Welsh ponies. Anyway they did have some very cute black Silkies but no blue ones. I think that the trouble with blue as a colour in Silkies, is that it can look sort of off black/grey. However that could be just that I haven't seen a good example. Another off black is chocolate and I have one of those. She is Dinky in name and nature. scarlettohara
I have 2 beautiful silkie babies, changed my mind when I got there as there were so many 2 choose from - I have a blue and a partridge who are hopefully both girls. Lovely place and people, beautifully kept chooks - their runs were inbetween grape vines and they had so much grass to fr on The growers were in a lovely WIR with their own parasol Quite a long journey so left them to settle in where they could see everyone else - they had a snack then snuggled up in the nestbox - they are so fluffy and tiny, I'm smitten
