Hi, bit of a nosey question but coudnt resist asking anyway! I love the fried egglu. Cant afford to buy one but reckon it would be a good investment( especially if you didnt use it!), if they have only made 50. Is anyone tempted?

Naaahh, reckon it'd be a pain to clean and show up the dirt like nothing else!

 

There have been limited edition colours before and they haven't gone for that much more on re-sale... there was yellow, brown, lilac....

I was wondering that too?? I think it looks awesome in the pictures, but there's no way it would look like that after 10 mins near my rabble!!!!

I think it looks but agree about it being white - maybe not the best colour idea for the poo tray?

Spose they're easy enough to jet wash though

I've just had a look at one in the warehouse and they come with a grey dropping tray to match the Eglu base.

Sorry, not a fan - the white would always be muddy in my run, it's a cool idea but I prefer a

I would love one! Currently have a bought secondhand, husband not keen on the purple ones (even tho' it is my favourite colour...) but he did quite like the Fried Eglu (goes with his sense of humour of naming his chicken 'Tikka'). Could fit with my grand plan of getting an Omlet WIR so that I would have 2 housing areas if we get a couple more chickens and 7 metres of run space.

 

I wonder how many are left - I will be jealous if you get the last one!!!

I love the look but don't think the white is practical.

Only concern I would have is how dark are they inside in the morning? My purple eglu keeps a lot of the light out, not sure if a white one would?

 

They do look good though, but would need a lot of pressure washes.

that's a good point about the amount of light let in, my girls are good at having at lie in until 7am in their green one

According to this months newsletter there are only 5 left...so tempted...does anyone know if any of the other colours are available to buy just as an eglu but without a run?

I have one =) It's very pretty.

 

We lost a chicken few weeks ago and wanted to get a bigger flock, this coming on sale was the perfect excuse to do it. We got 2 new girls yesterday (bringing our total to 4), so far it's still clean We do have aubiose on the base so hopefully it'll stay clean.

It's quite a bright white, but so far the new chooks aren't getting up any earlier than the girls in the purple cube. I'm kinda upset it won't be used for long, just for integrating new chooks, and then as a possible hospital.

Yes I read on the Omlet twitter / facebook that there were only 5 left (think they put that info on after the TV appearance).
