Night Nurse
Didn't her husband (with monocle firmly fixed in eye) once say '...and may all your doughnuts turn out like Fanny's...'????

The Dogmother
Funny how the forum filters out the shortened version of Richard, but not Fanny
Mel (& Paul)
We THINK its because its an "american" filter so it thinks that we are just typing the equivalent of "bum" rather than anything too rude! (isnt this great talking about Richard, Fanny and Bums at this time of the morning!! )
The Dogmother
I take it that you're 'working' at home today Mel... We'lll end up chasing each other round the forum again! Repeat after me: 'Must do some work today', 'Must do some work today'
Mel (& Paul)
Well - I am just off to meet some clients - I'm going to Monkey World in Wareham - dont know if you get the Monkey Business programme where you are - but I'm going to get to meet Jim and Alison - I'm ever so excited!! (with any luck they'll let me look round and meet the chimps etc!!) Then I have the afternoon off and I'm going horse riding - so a day of chickens, dogs, monkeys and horses - followed by some lovely bacon and eggs and a glass (or two!) of wine in front of the fire. If it werent for the "work" bit I would say the day would be almost perfect
Cate in NZ
Why Spending time on the forum is so much more fun than work- you learn more too Back to fat cooks bottoms how about Spohie (Grigson) or Delia (Smith), or are their bottoms not big enough? There's always Elizabeth (David) too, but I have no idea about the size of her rear. That's another idea for you- former winners of the "rear of the year" competition, even if I do get slightly irritated by such sexist guff. But you could re-visit Barbara, but this time as Felicity Kendal and there was also Charlotte Church, but I can't think of any more
The Dogmother
I think i've just got a guilt complex - when I've got a lot on, I do this work displacement thing and do everything but what I need to do! Mel, sounds like a perfect day Can't fit chimps in an Eglu though
Mel (& Paul)
I'm back - horse riding soon - hope the rain stops Do you think James would do a chimp-lu please?
The Dogmother
I'd join you on the riding if I were there. Not raining here though.

Popcorn
Well...now Mel you have to explain what it is you do for a living (I must have missed that thread, or I could go back and find your questioniare) and what does it have to do with monkeys How did the horse riding go? Something I've only ever done as a child, and I got thrown off and have never been back since
Mel (& Paul)
My job sounds far more exciting than it really is (or is it the other way round ) I investigate insurance claims when people are injured and are suing someone for those injuries. does get me out and about though! Horse riding is too come - I have only started again after not going since I was about 12 after a nasty kick from a horse (mmm..... maybe I should have sued someone...........) Popcorn
Ar....right. I had visions of your running riot round the country as a news reporter or similar! Maybe that's why you ended up in your job. It became your vocation after that! Yes, my horsey experience scared me off (and threw me off ) for life.
