Stop buying the News of the World

it's getting even worse now isnt it? Rebekah Brooks said that 'more would come out' in her speech to the NOTW newsroom; and although I cannot stand Gordon Brown, I think that revealing details about his daughter's death and his second son's medical condition is just disgusting - poor family.

in both cases I think Rebekah Brooks called him to say they had the information and were going to run with it - he's certainly on record as having said this about his little boy anyway.

its hard to know what else could come out... :(

It beggars belief that anyone would think that the medical condition of a baby is anyone's business except the families involved. No supporter of Gordon Brown but I very much admire him in never using his family for his own publicity - unlike many other politicians. The only time I ever warmed to him was when he left Downing Street with his lovely boys. The fact that some hack was going to expose the medical records meant he was forced to release a statement pre-empting it thereby releasing information he would never have wanted to share.

Phone tapping is only ever acceptable with proper police authority when it is part of a criminal investigation. There is absolutely no justification at any other time.

It feels like technology has overtaken morals. Just because you can do something doesn't mean you should.

(Is Rebekah really her name or did she change it because Rebecca was too ordinary???)

Which brings us back to our friend Prudence :D

I once worked with an exotic girl called 'Rochelle', she was off sick very often and as her manager it fell to me to ring her at home on one occasion. Her mother answered the phone and couldn't understand who I was asking for, then twigged and shrieked 'Rachel' in a loud sarf London accent (not that there's 'owt wrong with a sarf London accent - I lived there long enough :D ) that sunk her pretence
