Last edition this Sunday. That's as it should be.

Whitewash and big PR exercise IMO...not impressed.. I imagine that Malcolm Tucker is very busy in the corridors of power tonight....!!

Yup, the stench of whitewash is overpowering  I understand that they were talking about moving to working 7 days per week and that there was quite a bit of resistance; redundancy now sorts that all out nicely  believe me, RM wouldn't have done it for the benefit of his staff - he's never been know as a moralist.

And last week a joint management position for both NOTW and The Sun was created - according to my copy of the metro this morning. It had a large portion of its pages dedicated to this story today.

Andy Coulson has been "arrested" (read: asked to attend a police station) - and they expect Rebekah Brooks to be 'arrested' soon too, David Cameron is going to struggle to come out of this looking clean.

That'll teach him to brown-nose up to the media

Such is the fickleness (is that a word) of a lot of the electorate it's always been necessary. Governments have always cultivated the press barons of the past. I remember one of Maggie Thatchers victories heralded with the headline, "It was The Sun what won it" and it probably was.............

And what's the betting that The Last Issue will be selling on ebay for a fortune in (say) a year's time?

There are some on there already! I didn't think the last one was until tomorrow? Surely you can buy one from the shops for much cheaper? *confused*

My OH bought 11 copies :(

make him spend the profits on the chickens!!

I feel somewhat 'okay' (but still not really at all...) because the profits went to charity - so news international didn't profit from his money hungry shrewd ebay mentality

I'll make him buy me a pink and a purple cube! hehehe.
