Eglu Go With 2m Run For Sale

I got a recon cube a while ago, it's been sitting in the boxes in the garage for months Anyway, I'm waiting for the run to come (Tuesday) so thought I'd get the Cube out of the boxes in readiness. Not going to put it together until the run arrives so I don't waste time taking it apart to attach run etc, but all the bits look MASSIVE .

 

What have I done Please tell me I'll love the Cube when it's put together

I had plans to keep my current Classic as a spare, but not sure I'll have room for both

Hi, you Will love your cube! They dont take up that much more room than an eglu in my opinion. When you get it all set up with your hens inside i am sure you will be very happy!

Thank you PBG! I did measure up before I ordered the Cube and thinking about it I also remember the classic looked big when I first got that home. Hopefully we'll get used to it in time The ladder looks very cute anyway

Well it's all out of the boxes and the wheels are now on the base, but I seem to be missing some roof slider things, so I'll have to phone Omlet tomorrow in the hope they can send me some

Stop panicking! You;ll love the cube, much easier to clean than the classic, in my opinion anyway

Don't worry I am sure it will be fine. I felt the same when I got my greenhouse, I panicked that it was so big and that it would be all I would see in the garden however now I am not really aware of it. The same thing happened when we got a new TV. I thought I would have to sit at the far side of the room as it seemed so much bigger than the last one and I reckoned we had made such a mistake I can't believe I thought that now!

Also when you are building things you are so much closer to them than when they are in situ so they seem huge....I really think all will work out ok

I also thought the Cube was huge when I first put it up. I have a small garden and was thinking to myslef I'll never be able to keep hens again and burst into tears! OH told me to calm down and leave it up for a few days before I made any 'rash' decisions.

 

Two days later I'd got used to it. Next day I bought a 1mtr extension. Within a week I have three hens

You'll be fine. I posted 'hennies and the garden with pics' have a look and you will see how ours fits in to a very small yard!

Well, I've done a bit more to it (hammerited the wheeley bits where it's a bit rusty - it is well used!!) added the run panels that go immediately under the cube, put the front section on and put the ladder up, just need to wait for the various missing bits to arrive from Omlet before I can get on with it - still looks enormous though!
