I'm afraid I couldn't ever use the camp ones - I drove all the way home with a full bladder, left the car door and the front door open and dived into the cloakroom! OH has just been watching this - he didn't mention it as we just amused his parents by my story of desperation!

I agree, the chair is much better -much more comfortable and sturdy, especially for larger users and larger bottoms

I would use that! With travelling back & to to our new house, we need wee stops. Hubby suggested that cars should have a seat with a built in comode & privacy blinds. It is always awful when you want a wee in the middle of no where.

I am not a prude but just couldnt perform on that - too flimsy and what if the bag sticks to your bum doesnt bear thinking about.

Reminds me of our first camp - everyone asleep and didnt fancy trek to loo block in wellies and dressing gown so used YS's potty and tipped it outside the tent and hoped no drunks were passing. The sound of a wee hitting a potty in the middle of the night is very loud to say the least.

However did you balance!!! I think my knees would have locked and then I'd probably fall over, knocking said potty and contents all over the place!

No idea - about 6 yrs ago so a bit younger and stabler balance wise

I can confirm that weeing at night in a tent is a very noisy business ........and balancing act is a skill learned very quickly ..............oh the boys have it sooooooooooooooo easy

I thought of Space Chick too when I saw this, yours is way better.

Seems a good idea for a few hardy souls (who would probably make their own versions), but personally I'd hate to wee (or worse!) in a tent with other people around, then if they are aiming at a mass market including festival crowds etc. how many of them would dispose of the contents in a responsible manner ?
