Sheilaz
Er, there must be a quicker way, at the moment I use my finger to move the cursor to scroll down the right hand side. This is fine until doing the quiz as I have to click on a multiple choice answer, then move across, and so forth, which is a pain and extremely slow! If I try using the down arrow instead of the cursor, it just changes my answer selection, so that's no good. Whilst not aiming for half a minute, I would like to achive less than 3 minutes, any ideas?
yvonne
Depends on the laptop, my Samsung netbook scrolls quickly if you put 2 fingers on the little touch-pad thingy and drag them up or down. Try googling your exact model - someone will have put the answer on the internet somewhere !
squiffs
I just hold the left mouse button down with my index finger and scroll on the trackpad with my middle finger, same concept as a normal mouse with a scroll wheel, does that work? Snowy
Most laptops have the facility to drag your finger from the top to the bottom of the touchpad on the right hand side and that scrolls for you Sheila
percy049
i use the scroll wheel mainly in the middle of the mouse. I also use the down arrow key
Egluntyne
You can fit a mouse to a laptop, usually Sheila, if you prefer using them.
Lewis
I use the Pg Up and Pg Down keys to move the screen up and down. They're on the right of the keyboard for me, Home takes you to the top of the page and End to the bottom
Sheilaz
I use the Pg Up and Pg Down keys to move the screen up and down. They're on the right of the keyboard for me, Home takes you to the top of the page and End to the bottom Thanks Lewis, that's a brilliant method, just what I needed to know, I hadn't seen those buttons before. I know I could have searched elsewhere, but I had every faith that an Omleteer would know the answer and explain it easily to me. Thanks everyone who replied. I didn't really want to buy a mouse, but thought I might have to, no need now and I've learnt something new. I tried the touchpad scrolling but it mostly didn't work. Snowy's way did do something, but not in a controlled way, so didn't work for me. Thanks Lewis and everyone, I'm off to practise my new skill. The Dogmother
Go for it Sheila! I usually use a small laptop mouse with a laptop as I hate touch pads with a vengeance. I have an old ex-work laptop that needs a mouse, but my nettie has a pad that will let you 'walk scroll' with your fingers which is very intuitive and fast too.
