Sandychick
It's been a sad year for chickens here - Pepper died in May and Daisy two months later. Two chickens just wasn't enough, so I went to Newland Poultry to get a couple of new friends for Amber and Daphne. But couldn't decide, so I went home with three Florence (Columbine), Maisie (Amber) and Flossy (Barred Rock) Here's some pictures They look very young and tiny compared to the big girls

Sandychick
Wow, they look lovely and I'm loving your perchy thing (second photo down) I'm just in the process of trying to decide what to put in my run as a perch - your's looks very funky! It's an old wooden ladder - it was a bit unsafe for humans, so I rescued it from becoming firewood and painted it to match the eglu! They do like it. Your run and coop look very clean! That wont last long! I'm sure when they meet the the older girls, they will enjoy showing them how to trash a run in 5 minutes

Smudge
Lovely girls! We went to Newland Poultry a couple of weeks ago and came back with a couple of new girls - it was so difficult to decide but settled for a Bluebell and Sussex. I'd have loved to bring back more (as I loved the Barred Rock and the Amber) but I have to be practical and we just can't accommodate any more than four without it being detrimental to their welfare. Isn't their set-up fantastic though, I was so impressed!
Sandychick
Isn't their set-up fantastic though, I was so impressed! My hens went there last summer for holiday boarding - they are in the video on their website! I was very impressed then, so clean and tidy too. There were so many lovely looking hens to choose from though.....very difficult to decide
