counturchickens
I've seen a few posts about hentertainment, we have had a result today with a 'treat' ball (a whiskas one, but I've seen others online). I was at work but dh reported that CJ could play up front for QPR as long as there were dried mealworms in the ball! Can't wait for the weekend to watch the footie! (never thought i would be saying that ). The rest ran after her hoovering up what she missed.
memphisto
That sounds so funny Is it a treat ball for cats, but adapted for chickens by what you've put in it? Or have I lost the plot
blueandwhite
Very funny. I have done something similar with a practice golf ball and stuffed treats inside. A bit fiddly but good fun.

jasperaliceuk
The chickens liked the cats' treat ball until the fox nicked it - bought another just for chickens from PAH and the fox got that. My fault for leaving them in the Omlet netting. That's now resolved with the WIR - toys are safe. I set this up for them yesterday - they loved it. Today, beside their couple of hours free ranging, helping me do the weeding, they had a head of Pak Choi - another hit. Ain't Nobody Here
Ooh, I've got a couple of doggie treat balls - I must try them for the girls .
Bramble
I made a sort of treat ball for the chucks out of an old chewing gum container (now, where's my sticky back plastic, old washing up bottle and sellotape, Blue Peter, here I come ....). I didn't think the Chucks would have a CLUE what to do with it, but they sussed it straight away . I usually put their bedtime corn in it and it keeps them amused for quite a while
MissPug+Chooks
I bought one of these http://www.mypetchicken.com/catalog/chickens/Chicken-Fun-Toy-p963.aspx from pets at home at the chooks love it!
Lavenders_Blue
I have a doggie treat ball too - but I don't think Tango would be too impressed about sharing it with the hens, it's her most favourite toy!!!
Cheeky Chooky
Don't think my Eddie would be too impressed at having to share his either! I've just ordered one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Buffet-Ball-Foraging-Toy-Parrots-/290624891646?pt=UK_Pet_Supplies_Birds&hash=item43aa97eafe#ht_3153wt_928 Will let you know what the girls think when it arrives
