pips_pekins
Not sure what she has found out on our walk but she stinks Wet wiped her but the smell is still there! May have to give her a proper shampoo in our new bath I was hoping that she would not need doing until her next appointment at the groomers. I do feel sorry for her though. Normally around this time I take a break from work, make a cup of tea and we both sit on the sofa. Today she is most definitely not sitting next to me

snowberry
I always keep a couple of bottles of Tesco value ketchup in the cupboard for said emergencies! Worth it at 25p ish a bottle
The Dogmother
Ketchup or vinegar are best, followed by a wash with a bio laundry liquid. My two lurchers are veteran poo-rollers and I regularly have to do this and scrub their collars

That's the funny thing, there is no sign of anything on her so not sure what it is. It's not as bad as fox poo thank goodness but she does stink! I have tried ketchup for fox poo before followed by supermarket own coconut shampoo which usually does the trick and leaves her smelling like a big Bounty bar I think she may have found some revolting snack and is wafting around the smell of whatever it was She then licks herself and it makes it worse. I have some doggy stuff for her breath somewhere; think I will dig it out. Me too, Lulu the dachshund seems to find it everywhere in the forest and can't resist - its disgusting! I love dachshunds. There's a pair we sometimes meet our on walks. They scare my dog as the first time she saw them they were positioned behind a tree in such a way that they looked like one even longer dog
Chucky Mama
Is it possible that she has either expressed or has leaky anal glands?

Reikiranf
Fox urine smells as bad as their poo, I was leaving my friends flat once & as I walked down the stairs, through the glass door I could see a fox weeing on the doorstep, when I opened the door & went out the smell was unbelievable
HappyhenSG
Hedgehog poo? That's pretty stinky too My dog has a nasty habit of rolling in it I have previously rubbed a little bicarb into his coat and then brushed it out really well. Seemed ok as a temporary solution. Alis girls
Amazing I didnt know any of this - finished my cup of tea so no problems reading this - dont think I would know fox or hedgehog poo if I stepped in it.
Yorkshire Pudding
You might not be able to identify it, but you certainly can't ignore it. My DS1 has a habit of treading in fox poo while playing in the woods. Then he wonders why I won't let him indoors!
