MissPug+Chooks
My girls decided that now (after the frost an wet) that it would be a good idea to get a last min 'dust' (mud!) bath before the real winter sets in! They chose a tiny bush outside of our back door with only about 5inches of dirt! They loved it..until they got out and realised how dirty they were after! Cuteness! This is Ginger (excuse her appearance as she is moulting!) and Polly Polly (the Warren chicken I rescued in September!) xxxxx
kelloggs
Lovely pics and looks as if they are having a great time. Must be a well sheltered spot away from the wind for them.

Mum
Very cute!! I love watching mine dust bath, the way they wiggle, shudder, contort, shudder, rub their heads along the dirt - very cute
jackian
They are great ,so are your photos. As soon as mine see me they stop and run to get out so the moment for taking a photo is over I must be quicker. Mine have been dustbathing in their WIR ..It looks like the craters of the moon.Once one starts the other starts.

My white frizzle looks like the 'before' photo in a washing powder ad. too. Dust there ain't in my garden at the mo. Just mud, mud and more mud but that doesn't seem to have put them off

surfer_chicken
Two of my chickens (dark brown and black), have simply gone without a dustbath for a while, whereas my white amber star regularly has a lovely wallow in mud. She's a lovely shade of murk now Lovely pictures of them enjoying themselves
