Luvachicken
I have 2 parsnips left over from Christmas. I can't stand them myself and only cook them for other people by boiling them and then roasting them. How can I cook the 2 left for the chickens for a special treat ? Space Chick
I adore parsnips My girls get my peelings raw, so you could chop it up and give it to them, or you could chop and boil it slightly to make it softer. Lucky girls
Luvachicken
Do you think I could just chop it all up and cook them then ? That would involve least touching for me

poppy ben grace
I would cook them, my girls love them softly boiled especially if i mix it in with a bit of leftover mash potatoes!
counturchickens
I had some roasted ones left over from Xmas dinner, i chopped them up and they took about 10 seconds to eat. I'm sure boiled would be a healthier choice though!

AlisonH
I regularly give mine left over roasted parsnips, I don't cut them up, they just run round the garden with them flapping out of their beaks, chasing each other - it's hilarious! (You can tell I don't get out much!!)
