i've had a very emotional few weeks. My piano teacher who was the assistant organist has moved to take up a new post which was very sad. I could barely say goodbye as I was so choked up. Then our associate vicar left, she was lovely. I had to sit out at the side when she had her leaving lunch as I found it all too upsetting.

 

Then on top of that change a member of the choir who I knew died. He leaves a very big space in the back row of choir. It was his funeral this morning which was so beautiful and very moving. I was only released from work for the service and had to return to work to register my class 10 minutes afterwards. My TA took over for a while to allow me to settle myself and I busied myself with work. Thank goodness I have two teaching students who were teaching and I was just overseeing.

 

I don't like change, as much as it's inevitable . . . it upsets me.

That all sounds more than just change, no wonder all these things have upset you so don't be too hard on yourself, you sound a really nice person as you obviously care about people.

It's not change it's different losses and not surprised you find it hard. Perhaps the new teacher and associate vicar will be good friends as well and help fill the gaps in your life.

No wonder you're feeling sad, its always an emotional time when we lose friends and family and to have people that we care for move away. As others have said hopefully you will come to see the replacements as friends in time. Sending (((hugs))).
