HELP aggressive chicken

a Cube house butted directly up to an Omlet WIR, ie without the Cube run? I get the impression from the website that it can be done but cannot see anywhere any pieces for sale which would connect Cube to the WIR. It seems a good option to me to get yet another metre of WIR (already have 3) plus I would find it easier to get under the Cube to rake and clean - I struggle with a dodgy back to crouch down, leaning into the much lower Cube run.

I haven't got one but guess you could connect the cube run with the run clips or cable ties?

Yes I have, you don't need to fix the cube, it's so heavy just butt it up close, nothing will move it.

I have too...I've got a few cable ties connecting mine but it's not going anywhere

OK - still trying to visualise the butting up thing - I suddenly remembered the sliding roof - wouldn't you need a gap for that?

D'oh! Sorry, just re-read your initial post...the bit 'i.e. without a Cube Run' ...no, you need to have a Cube Run to attach to the WIR because of the sliding roof on the Cube. Sorry!

I took the sliders off mine.

So I just lift it up, been like that for a year now, so heavy nothing would lift it.

I also took the sliders off so the roof just lifts up and it works really well

... I always go to lift up the roof on the cube at work rather than slide it now!

I was told by the guys at Omlet that taking the sliders off was an option but I like being able to slide the roof forward and I know I would very quickly get fed up having to lift it on and off so I kept the Cube run

You don't have to lift it off + on, just lift the back as if there is a hinge at the front.

 

Apart from big clean outs I only open it to count they're all in there or grab someone out so not too often
