As well as 'Strange' and 'Meyer', the woman playing 'Hanne' looked awfully familiar ... and there was another 'Troels' to add to the confusion. I loved it - well written drama with totally believable characters, not all Hollywood pretty and covered in make up. When Birgitte was called in urgently to the office while she was at home she arrived with hair just s"Ooops, word censored!"ed back and not a s"Ooops, word censored!" of make up on.Brilliant. Everyone looks normal - some plain, some pretty but mostly just ordinary. I am so cross with Phillip ! He is married to the Prime Minister for goodness sake so he has to take a back seat while she is in office - it won't be for ever. Admittedly she has neglected her home life and become a bit dictatorial even there. It is not as though she can leave her job just so that he can feel like the man of the house again! What a well written drama to have made me feel so involved with the characters. Good news that the BBC will be showing series 2 next winter. Was hoping for something gloomy and Scandinavian as Spiral didn't appeal last time round. Chortle Chook Posted February 6, 2013 Share Posted February 6, 2013 I've recorded the last two parts of Borgen and keep putting off seeing them as I know that I'll feel flat as flat when Borgen is all gone. I thought the characters were so believable (including chauvenist Philip) and will really miss Birghitte and little Kasper (even if he did want every woman within a 10 mile radius ) It has done a lot for Danish PR I think.
