The Pearsons
Does anyone have any photos of a Skyline? I've been promised one (plus a White Star) for the end of July. Helen in Hume
smudgley
I know that a lot of crossbreeds which are bred for their high number of eggs are called hylines / goldlines. Maybe a skyline is a similar type? They are brown hens. These are our young Goldlines (15 weeks) How come I've managed to post one pic & a link to the other2? these are some previous one we had. The 2 at thefront are hylines http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/smudgley2/catsprotection467.jpg all these are Hylines (except the dark one) http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v188/smudgley2/garden022-1.jpg

Egluntyne
Heritage Skylines are blue egg layers, but are only 70% guaranteed to do so. I've read that they are a bit skittish.
The Pearsons
skittish? Well I'm sure the two Dumpies will soon manage to get her into line I heard that White Stars are flighty as well. An Irish Setter used to regard me as her human and I was told she was uncontrollable and very excitable. I was her last chance...... she lived with me for 8 years and I found her to be calm and elegant and great fun! The only time she lived up to her reputation was on the beach when she loved to chase seagulls...
starboyhull
I do think that animals do fall in line once they have the right setting...... Although some animals / breeds are worse than others..... Having lots of animals they have to be under control......Athough we have yet to teach the hens "into your bed"....... LOL thats gonna come in a few weeks
