Thats a good idea....mine don't use to sleep in but suddenly have stopped laying in the egg production had dropped too from 3 one day and 4 another to one or two per day...no idea why

Good point, DM, hadn't thought of that . They spend so little time in the eglu, I'm hoping redmite will get bored waiting and move on . Might just sprinkle a little powder about though just in case!

My girlies are equally hopeless! 1 egg today! I did mention the word "pie" to them today, but I don't think they took much notice of me. Seriously thinking about getting more girls if production doesn't soon improve. Think its the older girls age as they are nearly 2 years old. My 6 month old girlies should lay tomorrow. Hoping more light might improve the situation with the older girls or am I hoping in vain?
