I am not scared but ...

Recommended Posts

Reading through a couple of other threads (scared of weird things!) reminded me of something that happened a few years ago. It was when my health was quite poor and I was in quite a bad way. One morning I was in the shower when I fainted. At that time, we had a bath with shower attachment and a rail with shower curtain that went around the whole bath and was attached to the wall in 3 places. I must have passed out, fallen backwards, got caught up in the curtain and fallen out of the bath and bumped my head on the radiator. When I came round, I was so shocked I started screaming (not sure why but then I was also concussed from the bump!) Nothing :shock: No one appeared to help. I tried to call out and could hear the dog scratching outside the bathroom door and whimpering and then heard her running downstairs. Eventually, DH appeared, luckily we don't lock doors in this house unless we have visitors! I was still on the floor, all wrapped up in shower curtain with bits of the rail hanging off the wall and other bits of rail around me. 'Oh' he says. 'I did hear a lot of noise but thought you had seen a spider.' :shock: In all the years we have known each other, I have never had a problem with spiders :roll: Luckily, I am still here to tell the tale and have since recovered from what caused the fainting spells. Even better, we used it as a good excuse to replace the 1980s baby blue bathroom that came with the house :D I just wondered if others had had similar stories to tell.

Great mental picture you've painted there :shock::lol: My story is also about bathrooms and OHs!

We'd gone to look around a botel room up a mountain in the middle of nowhere in France, to check we wanted to stay there. It was fine and I told OH and the hotel receptionist I'd just use the loo and then meet them back downstairs. But she'd locked me in there by accident (I presume :shock: ) and so I was puzzling what to do - there was no phone in the room. Never mind I thought, he'll be back. But he wasn't, for what seemed like hours. In the end I had to shout at some poor person out of the window in my broken French to be rescued.

When I eventually got downstairs, OH was nowhere to be seen. I went outside to find him sunning himself admiring the view. When I asked him whether he was worried, and where did he think I'd been all this time, he said 'I assumed you'd met someone you knew!' Up a remote mountain that we'd stopped at on a whim? :wall:

Daphne that really made me laugh. :lol::lol::lol:

Years ago I was stittng with my parents watching TV and sucking sweets when my mother began to choke. I said "Dad do something". He got up and turned the sound on the TV up. :roll: (No remote back then). The shock of him doing that made my mother cough the lodged sweet back.

:lol::lol::lol: Typical man!!!
