Gertie
Oh dear, poor hen, poor you. I don't know much but Can you do a health check on her to see if any obvious sign? I just took mine to the vets today (second time in a week) for the same reason, sleepy & hunched. The vet said she could be moulting & therefore would be off colour. She's perked up since. Could yours be moulting? Have you checked for mites? Chicken health is a mystery to me, but I tried poultrynutri drops into her beak which did perk up my hen. I also tried to tempt her with various foods. I hope she's ok. Gertie
Peaches
They do sometimes just sit hunched up for a bit and then are fine a bit later. Are there any other signs? What's her comb like? Is it floppy or pink and upright? Gertie - what are poultrynutri drops and are they easy to buy? Fiona

Gertie
Yes, how is she this morning? Mine seems fine at the moment anyway. Peaches - poultry nutri drops, got mine from farm shop but see they sell them on omlet website it says "When your chickens are tired, weak or sick unfortunately a bowl of hot soup won't perk them up. There is something you can give them that will work a treat though and give them the boost they need. These nutri-drops work like magic, transforming sluggish hens within just 30 minutes. It is a unique supplement that carries nutrients directly into the bloodstream immediately, providing a really fast-acting effect. Poultry nutri-drops help boost the immune system and vitamin levels in poorly birds. It helps maintain egg production when energy is required and can reduce stress during times such as vaccination. This magic medicine also increases a chicken's appetite if it has gone off its food. This can be used during heat stress, diorrhoea, antibiotic treatment and during periods of stress, so it is always handy to have a bottle just in case. 30ml bottle. 16 in stock £12.59"
