Chickendoodle
Made this in my breadmaker yesterday - absolutely delicious and made the best cheese and pickle sandwich ever! 1 tsp yeast 500g strong white flour 1 tsp sugar 1 tsp salt 1 grated eating apple 1/2 tsp white pepper (I used black pepper) 300ml cider 1 tsp rosemary There is no added fat or oil Cook on standard bread cycle - can't use a timer delay due to the grated apple

Chooks Aloud
I've made it and it is yummy. I had the last bit of the loaf today (the crust) which I toasted and had it with chocolate spread. Strange I know, but it was really nice. I shall definitely make it again.
The Dogmother
I can see that going down a treat here too, will give it a try when I have some cider kicking around. Did you add the grated apple to the mix or put it in the seed dispenser?
LolaLayla
My bread maker beeps after a while to alert you if you want to add fruit. So I assume I should add the apple then
AndreaT
Ooh, that does sound good! I've had my bread maker a while now but have only ever used the packet mixes Think this will be my first 'proper' loaf
Lesley
Our bread machine died ages ago so I'll make some in the traditional way and see how it goes.

Did you add the grated apple to the mix or put it in the seed dispenser? You add the grated apple to the mix - think it is a bit sloppy to put the the dispenser and it would go a bit brown and yucky! On my Panasonic is is programme 1, standard loaf, 4 hours. For some reason although the flour quantity is for a large loaf the recipe said to use the medium loaf setting
The Dogmother
Thanks, I'll have a go at it.
