keyhole kate Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 Poor Mabel my Black Rock passed away today she was aged 5 I had noticed her slowing down and spending more time on her own over the weekend and she had lost quite a bit of weight previously she had always been a hefty girl. When she hadn't come out this morning I checked and found her very weak in the nest box I brought her in wrapped her in a towel and cuddled and spoke to her she passed away in my arms. I took her to my local vets for cremation which cost £8.15 I will miss her but feel comforted that she had a good FR life. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

So sad to lose her but what a great age for a chook and what a lovely way for her to pass away; she must have been a very loved and pampered girl.
