The one good thing about all this rain is...........

Recommended Posts

Nope, can't think of a single good thing about all this rain. Am thoroughly fed up with it.

Had to wade through a moat around my allotment to rescue my allotment ladies and move them to a higher patch of greenery last night (in the rain). They enjoyed eating drowned worms though :vom: . Haven't managed to plant anything for weeks.

Let the cube girls out for a quick FR and ended up chasing Maggie across a squelchy allotment for the best part of 20 minutes when she decided she didn't want to go back in the cube  (urban foxes mean I can't leave them for a minute). It was like a TV sketch. She looked at me and looked at the newly enlarged gap to the allotment, looked at me ('Maggie - nooooooo'). Gone - as fast as her chunky light sussex legs would carry her!

I have an hours commute to work each way and I can't remember when I last drove it in dry weather.

Had a week off last week and my brother had to help me cut 50 feet of overgrown hedge (due to the rain) in the rain.

Went to Ardingly for the first time last week. I haven't been so wet through since I went cycle touring when I was eighteen - a looooong time ago. :wall:

I can't dry my washing outside. At all.

The 3 cats have brought in so much mud that the house could be redecorated mud brown.

I'd better not moan anymore or I'll be banned from the forum. I'm sick of the rain. Sorry. :boohoo:

Oh how I agree you can do my moaning for me

We have not got our girls at the allotments but have two allotments which we are way behind planting . My back garden looks like Glastenbury on a wet bank holiday as the girls FR when they can and they have been shut in their WIR longer later than usual which |I don't like and neither do they . :(
