So, I've just read this article about the Olympic Games opening ceremony ... there will be sheep, horses and CHICKENS!

 

I wonder if they are holding auditions? I only live a few miles away from the Olympic Park!

 

I might have to start writing their CVs up.

Pippi, Daisybelle - vocal, and not likely to be overawed by large crowds (it would be amazing if something made her shut up!)

Sadie, Speckledy - around five years old, a wise old bird who retired last year and enjoys gardening

Lavender, Bluebelle, aged 2-3 - a calm personality and likely to take control of other hens

 

What would be on your hens' CVs?

Fran the evil - good body guard loves eating bugs and moss.

Sam - Thinks outside the box, very clever, a good sprinter and loves people.

Jo - very pretty ( good eye candy for the cockerels)

Charlie - so laid back it's untrue!

F - the calm serene old lady - just hide the worms or her other side will come out....

R - Scatty, daft as a brush, could enter her for the highjump the way she reacts to the wind!

 

I saw the article too, and did make me laugh. Still, I guess the grass in the middle of the track will be well manured... Assuming they keep them off the track!

Poppy & Robin would love the chance to go! Both are very nosey and would be happy to frisk everyone on their way in

Won't the chickens (and maybe other animals) be terrified of the big open space and the NOISE ?

Madge - A dead ringer for Mavis Riley (Coronation Street) Bit scatty and definately nosey.

Matilda - just plain bolshy

Gladys - Very keen to be in charge (as was her namesake Gladys Pugh from Hi-de-hi)

 

Good team players and work well with children and animals - oops think the saying is - never work with children and animals but hey we're chickens!!!

Alice - the responsible decision-maker, happy to take charge of any situation

 

Angel - the badly-named cheeky chook, who can effortlessly charm any crowd

 

Hopefully the animals will be with familiar people and away from the crowd in secure pens. Hopefully ...
