urbanchick
They're here! Annie, Clarabel and Mavis (the pepperpot) are safely installed in a purple cube in my garden. Omlet did not have the netting I ordered but I won't need it for a few days and they are going to send it tomorrow. My 4 year old was not impressed when he got his finger pecked, but he seems to have got over it. And he got his own back by poking them with sticks through the bars (until I stopped him). Check out the link below for pictures (password is chicken).

Guest
Brilliant - its in such a nice setting - and lucky you with the new drinker and feeder I love the way the chickens are using the drinker - it will save such a lot of water. Great photos

Rabbieboy
There's a strange man in my garden with some hens and a big green cube. My girlfriend just emailed me to say Omlet arrived at 13:45, 45 mins early.

urbanchick
Yes the glug is great. However it has a fault..... One of the "teats" is dripping constantly. Omlet said they will send me out a replacement part and if that doesn't stop it they'll send a replacement glug. Unfortunately it's making a bit of a mess and the water is obviously draining away, so I might put a container under it. But otherwise I am really thrilled, just a bit nervous about them putting themselves to bed! I don't fancy crawling in there in this rain. One of the gingernuts (Clarabel) helpfully has a larger comb and wattle. Does that mean she is a little older?
Rabbieboy
Lovely pics Redchick First time I've seen the new feeders in real life, so to speak. I love the picture of the girls drinking Is that a new type feeder? It looks like the normal one on the website, the page showing the fox proof run and the new " Automatic" Glug also shows different style Grub. urbanchick
I think so, and Roy who set it up said it was the new one. It is larger and angular in shape, instead of the original eglu one which is smaller and rounded.

urbanchick
Oh I don't know about that then . Maybe the feeders are just bigger. I have a little clip of them going up the ladder to bed if anyone cares to look. Annie and Clarabel were quite keen, but Mavis took ages to pluck up the courage and kept falling off. Helly Welly
Fantastic photos and great to see movie clips of your girls too. It is great to see that cubes are now being delivered with the new drinkers, i'm a bit worried about getting my girls to drink out of it as they are so used to drinking from the glugs. Does the new drinker have to be that low, the girls looked like they were bending down quite a lot. You have a lovely set up for them, i'm sure your chooks will be very happy.
