Fenton blue & Fenton rose?

Recommended Posts

The Marans Club has the egg colour chart on their site http://www.themaransclub.co.uk and to be considered a Marans they should be capable of laying a number 4 on the chart at some time during their laying cycle. The shell colour will vary from hen to hen, and also throughout the laying season. Unfortunately many birds which look like Cuckoo Marans are crosses of some description which are being passed off as Marans, and often their eggs are not much darker that supermarket standard.

Love to see some photos of your Barnavelder eggs, they are such pretty birds. :)
