Attached link for YS swimming Butterfly today at the GB Olympic Heroes tour in Liverpool - VS Michael Rock olympian Steve Parry commentates and laughs as Rocky did not even let YS have a head start - he's only 11

 

Had a great day - thanks to all the Swimmers/Divers/Water Polo/Synchronised GB Olympians and Paralympians that gave their time to inspire the youngsters

Great fun, I bet Joe loved that! If Rocky had given Joe a head start I think Rocky would have lost It looks like you have a future Olympian on your hands there

When we saw Rocky later he said he was unsure how quick Joe would be, so hence dived at the same time, Steve Parry did rib him a bit over that I also forgot to ask Steve who won Celeb Master Chef

 

Nick Robinson-Baker did the handstand dive pose - and then backflipped, really impressive seeing the control and poise close up

 

Everyone was really enthusiastic - the children all got free "Heroes" t-shirtd and swim caps courtesy of British Gas

Thanks Shirl - he's only 11 but has been competing already for 2 years, hence the confidence.

 

He made the 1st move to shake Rockys hand afterwards, something he does sometimes at other competitions with his own age group - we did laugh as it would have been comical if he had pulled his hand away and did the nose wave ( nahnahnahna )

Just waiting for the photographer coming from Manchester Evening news - they are running a story on boys through swimming, Heroes Tour and inspiration from the Brownlee Brothers

 

If does not go to press tomorrow, will be next wednesday - think it will also be in the local rags of Cheshire too
