Anyone got any of this. M&S have a range. Have read several reviews. Want something to flatten tummy (and if anyone suggests exercise I will scream as I am !!) - ie the casarian belly so commonly a problem. If I could get some which push it up into my bra I would be happier still Seriously are they very hot (I have a prob with personal central heating) ?

I suspect the guys on the forum will be rubber necking at this thread.

I've had some of the M&S type - they are warm, yes. Bear in mind that as they squeeze your tummy flat - and they do a good job if you want to wear a slinky dress - it has to go somewhere, so you tend to get a bulge above or below. (Maybe that's just me!). They're ok for a special occasion but I couldn't wear them regularly. I've heard the Gok ones are good.

I bought Spanx on Ebay a few years ago, a flesh coloured creation that covered my belly and down into legging type things that ended above my knee. Flattened pretty much everything in it's wake I didn't find it too warm, re-arranging after a comfort break was a bit of a faff so it's not really for everyday wear. I reckon it knocked a dress size off.

If you are going to try them then I'd recommend the more cotton ones as the nylon ones as I get hot in them and hate the feel of the things. Their only plus side is clothes don't stick to them. Daily Mail online did a recent article about the M&S new range and what real women look like in them and what they actually feel about them. Might be an idea to check it out

The M&S shapewear tights are very good - if I have to wear tights,I wear those.

They have a sort of control pant type top to them.....they just make you feel a little bit less wobbly.

Not the most appealing looking things but anything else is like squeezing a sausage in the middle and wondering why it spills out over the top and the bottom and I find anything that you can't keep help up by strapping it over your shoulders just unravells into an unseemly roll with the flabby bits you were trying to smooth out erupting over the top.

Thanks ladies - i will look at M&S ones - did read article. I am not sure I want my tummy anywear else if you get my meaning. Childbirth plays havoc with your bits.

I tried on many of these over the years and was always annoyed at the bulges either up at your back or at your hips. However last year I found the solution in M&S. It is a control underskirt sort of idea (full length). It really flattens the tum (I have had 3 C sections), not too hot and also not too much of a hassle when going to the loo. Try one on and see what you think.

The original spanx are far and away the best imho - not least as they're the most comfy while still doing the job

I have under-bust to mid-thigh Spanx, you dont have to remove them to go to the loo as they have a vent

 

I usually wear a pair of knickers over the top to preserve my sense of decency. They really do the job and I have also had abdominal surgery and two mahoosive babies that left my tummy stretched into something looking like an aerial view of the Sahara - all ripples.

 

They havent ever had let of my bulgy bits out or rolled over the top, but boy are they passion-killers!

TKMaxx have some in at the moment, I have a vest top for £5 that i wear under slim fitted tops which

works well.

Despite the 'vent' I always pulled them down just incase I or they got wet inadvertantly

Just reviving this thread to enquire if Alis girls got the control pants?

 

I've got a slinky dress for a post Christmas wedding and I have a tiny post op tum, which just won't go.

Afraid I havent but intend too. I have managed to lose a bit of tum as have been walking a mile a week due to new job and the tum is flatter. still a wobble but better (apologies to those eating ) but intend to get a bit of help for Chrimbo do. Dont want to put anyone off their grub.
