ohcarolina
FSFH have managed to source a very limited number of hens in Kent for rehome this Saturday. Anyone interested can get in touch with me (Kent and West Sussex only) I hope I'm allowed to post this, apologies if not but these girls are so lovely and I want to get nice homes for them. sandyhas3chucks
are they "caged hens" free range or barn... just out of curiosity...
ohcarolina
Hi Sandy How ya doing. I get confused on the whole thing as its only my 4th rescue so I'm still new to it all. They've never been caged (unlike a couple of rescues that we've done) but FR during the day and then go into BIG barns at night. Our pack leader said that its one of the best farms she goes to. We're not expecting any from the enriched cages until early next year. Caroline
sandyhas3chucks
Hi, recently (August bank holiday)rehomed 8 ex batty girls already free 2 years, so no surprise 3 gone already.. 3 had peritonitis, and been drained and are fantastic now... I look forward to enriched rehoming and can do crawley so will keep eyes open later next year,,, Also got some breeds and chicks as you may have seen, to ease my aching heart from the batties... BUT DO stil have Cutie my disabled girl, coming up 4 years release next month!!!!!
ohcarolina
Oh well done Sandy - I do follow your posts. Sadly, the three Bisley Birds all flipped up their fluffy knickers this year but we all had such fun before they went. They lived on the allotment for the Spring and Summer and got VERY spoiled! Keep up the good work and maybe we'll have to organise a get together for Sussex and Surrey girls (in the relevant location.
