Just caught Prilly sat outside my kitchen window, she had climbed on my log pile to get there , but it was my ex-batts that were the worst for getting in the house, the day I got them I was told by the rescue home that they didnt know what food was etc and I would have to teach them. I got them home and still had to finish the run off so I thought id let the FR, I left the back door open whilst I was working and within minutes they were tucking into the cats food !! They so knew what food was :-) Somewhere I have a lovely pic of them with their heads in between the bars of the stair gate we used to block the back door but that was a waste of time they soon found a way to knock it down or just flap over it. the amount of times my children yelled 'Pudding and Pie are inside again' ..... But thats why I love my chickens they all have their own individual personalities and quirks

Julian is looking very nice :D

Thankyou .... Julian has just gone to live at my mums :( missing him already but he has started crowing so mum said he could live with her. Told that she is grandma and IM still Mummy (mad I know but he will always be MY beautiful boy) Kids were upset but I told them if we hadnt bought him by mistake chances are he would have been dinner by now so they are happy that hes not ..... Plus he now has more ladies (2 are his hatching sisters but a different breed ??) and he has sheep as his neighbours and mums Geese . The only worry he will have now is being cuddled to death by mother and me when I visit

Oh yes, we have to keep our back door firmly shut when the chooks are out as they make a beeline for the kitchen and wolf down the cat food! Little "Ooops, word censored!"s are quite hard to shoo out again! We needed to construct some sort of chicken stair/door-gate in the summer!

lol, good luck with the stair gate we just had our kitchen extended and I got myself a stable door yay having said that finding Prilly in the window this morning, (aparently she had company but hubby had no clue which one thinking it would have been Connie or Marilyn) I am now thinking that a stable door will be no obsticle for my bunch
